Top 10 Least Favorite Skylanders

Obviously, not every single skylander is amazing. This isn't to say that a lot of them are bad, but there are some skylanders that people would point to and call them one of the worst. As shown in my reviews, there are really only five skylanders that I don't really like, so this really could've been a top 5 list. However, I decided to make it a top 10 list because the majority of the least favorite skylanders lists that I've seen are top 10s and I also think that it would be interesting to have a least favorites list where the first half is mostly skylanders that I think are okay. Also, if your favorite skylander is on this list, that is perfectly fine. There isn't a single skylander that I actually hate and it is possible that I need to play as these characters more. Anyways, let's get into the list and discuss the skylanders that could honestly be better.

#10: Bouncer

For the record, Bouncer is not on this list because of his similarities to Trigger Happy. He's here because in my opinion, his moveset is a mixed bag. His fingerguns are perfectly fine, but I'm less a fan of her shoulder rockets as they don't do that much damage. His eye laser is very powerful, but his movement when using it becomes much stiffer. While he is my least favorite giant and tech skylander, he's this high up on the list because I find that he's more enjoyable than the rest of the skylanders on the list.

#9: Blastermind

If it weren't for one amazing element, Blastermind would be much lower on the list, possibly in the top 3. While I can see what the skylanders team was going for with his moveset, it mostly came out underwhelming. His brain waves and brain blast moves are pretty useful, but not that powerful. His brain freeze ability is honestly useless as it doesn't do anything. The only reason why Blastermind isn't lower on the list is because of his Soul Gem that gives him the ability to instantly solve lock puzzles. Without it, however, there isn't much that I can say in his favor.

#8: Nightfall

Nightfall actually used to be my least favorite supercharger, but after play as her more, I can say that she's decent, but nothing too special. Her handy hooks are a serviceable main move while her ambrush and whiplash moves range from okay to downright useless. Like with Blastermind, her Soul Gem does give her some points as it can make mob fights a bit easier, but outside of that, she isn't a skylander that I'll be playing as anytime soon.

#7: Warnado

Warnado's reputation has unfortunately worsened over the years, and while I don't think that he's the worst skylander ever, I'm not really a big fan of him either. His shell spin charge attack makes him very fast and is pretty powerful, but his tornadoes don't do much other than keep enemies at bay. His riding whirlwind ability isn't the most useful as it isn't as fast as his first move, but I can definitely appreciate the slam ability that he can do. Overall, while he's not the worst thing ever, it not hard to see why the fanbase doesn't like Warnado anymore.

#6: Fiesta

Fiesta also used to be my least favorite supercharger, but I honestly can't say that he's better than Nightfall. His trumpet blast is fine, but his solo notes are kind of useless. His amigos can be very helpful when defeating enemies, but half the time, they all go in a single direction (usually in the wrong direction). Fiesta's saving grace is his laid low ability that is good for when you're low on health. Fiesta is the kind of skylander that would get a 2.5/5, which is to say that he's halfway decent, but nothing special.

#5: Astroblast

Now that we got the decent ones out of the way, let's talk about the characters that I actually don't like. The next three entries will be skylanders that are mostly one trick ponies, starting with Astroblast. I won't deny that his solar flare gun is one of the best moves in the game with a lot of range and power, but when you factor in his other moves, they are not great at all. His space rock and backflip moves are kind of useless because of how powerful the gun is, and even the addon abilities don't do much to help. I can see why people like Astroblast, but for me, it doesn't take long for him to get boring.

#4: Bad Juju

Bad Juju has the exact same problem as Astroblast. Her moveset is pretty unique, but not good overall. Her twin blades are very powerful, but her son, Juju Junior, doesn't do anything and her snack attack, while powerful, isn't nearly as powerful as her blades. Her Sky-Chi is also unimpressive as it only damages enemies in one direction and it doesn't even damage them that much. In my opinion, Bad Juju is easily the worst sensei and another one trick pony, but she's still not the worst skylander in the collection.

#3: Chill

And now we get to the last one move skylander. Chill's main ability is fine, but her other moves are nothing special. Her javelins do good damage, but I have yet to find a use for her ice wall and her shield ability is easily the worst of it's kind. I'm sorry that this entry was short, but honestly, it's hard for me to say something new about Chill when she has the same problems as the last two skylanders.

#2: Free Ranger

While I find Free Ranger to be worst than the last three entries, he at least gives me something to talk about. Overall, his moveset had good ideas, but the execution of it was what ruined it. His stormblades are powerful, but they are also slow and clunky. His tornado ability gives him some speed, but it can get annoying when it throws enemies around. His eye of the storm ability stuns enemies for a bit, but it doesn't do that much damage. I know that lots of people like Free Ranger, but I just can't seem to gain a liking for him.

#1: Wrecking Ball

I remember a time where I used to really enjoy Wrecking Ball, but after giving him another run, he became the first skylander to get a 2/5 from me and my least favorite. While his tongue ability has a lot of range, it's damage output is rather poor. His roll ability is very powerful, but hitting a wall will make him move in a completely different direction. His burp ability is a decently powerful projectile, but it can leave you open to enemy attacks. Even though Wrecking Ball's not as bad as some of the villains that I reviewed, he's still not that good of a skylander and easily my least favorite skylander.
