Top 10 Favorite Skylanders
Now that we've discussed my least favorite skylanders, it's time to go over my favorite skylanders. In my opinion, every game has it's share of amazing skylanders. Even Giants, the game with the weakest roster, has skylanders that I absolutely love. Sure, they're not all perfect, but the ones that are are the main reasons for why I keep playing these games. Everyone has their favorites, and I'm no different, so let's get into the list and analyze these ten (technically eleven) skylanders.
#10: Kaos
I know that it's a bit weird to put Kaos on this list, but but believe me when I say that he is one of the most powerful skylanders in the entire series. His brain bash and psychic shot abilities are great for close range and long range range respectively, and his doomlanders are awesome minions. His Sky-Chi marks the return of his giant floating head (even if it is different), and it's laser eyes have a lot of power. Kaos has almost always been a force to be reckoned with, and as a skylander, he still is.
#9: Scratch
Scratch is definitely one of the rarest skylanders, and when I first got her, I was super excited to play as her; the wait was definitely worth it. Her scratch ability is very fast and powerful, her pounce ability allows you to surprise enemies while doing good damage, and her whirlwind ability is great for taking out smaller enemies and can even be effective against normal sized enemies. Also, her Soul Gem gives you the ability to heal by collecting gold; I don't think I need to explain why that's awesome. If you ever get the chance to play as Scratch, I highly recommend doing so as she is a one-of-a-kind skylander.
#8: Night Shift
I may be a bit biased with Night Shift, but as far as I'm aware, he is a fan favorite, so I don't really have a problem with putting him on the list. His boxing move is one of the best close range moves in the series with how it's also kind of a long range move while his teleportation ability speeds him up quite a bit. His bite attack does have a bit of a cooldown, but I am willing to look past that as is does great damage and heals you. Add in the fact that he can have two extra lives and you have a fan favorite undead skylander in the form of Night Shift.
#7: Trigger Happy + Double Dare Trigger Happy
What hasn't been said about Trigger Happy? His golden guns have lots of range and power, hisheavy throwing ability is a very powerful lob attack, and his machine gun is nothing short of overpowered. Almost everyone agrees that he's an amazing skylander, but very few people ever talk about his supercharged counterpart, Double Dare Trigger Happy. This version has that same amazing guns, an area affecting fireworks show that does good damage, a cannon ability that's really powerful, and a n extra life. The only reason why both versions are sharing a spot is because I can't really pick a favorite between the two, so this entry will count as a tie.
#6: Chain Reaction
Chain Reaction is another rare skylander that I was super excited to play as, and like with Scracth, the wait was more than worth it. His chainsaw blades do a lot of damage, especially when being powered up, and his inventions are very useful by acting as powerful sentries. His thunderslam is like an upgraded version of Spy Rise's climb ability as it gives him invinciblity frames and does damage to the enemies below him before the big strike. His Sky-Chi does loads of damage in a large area and is easily one of the most powerful moves in the game. Overall, Chain Reaction is a skylander that doesn't take too long to master and can be a force to be reckoned with when you do.
#5: Bash
For the record, Bash is not on this list because he's CrashTheSkylands' favorite skylander and he's one of my favorite youtubers. He's on this list because of his amazing moveset. The 360 tail swipe insanely powerful, his roll ability gives him a lot of speed, and his stone uppercut can hit enemies on ledges and can even be used as a ranged attack when hit by the tail swipe. It's really not hard to see why Bash is CrashTheSkylands' favorite skylander as he has everything that you'd want in a skylander.
#4: Tree Rex
Tree Rex was a skylander that I've always loved, but it wasn't until I played as him that I finally had a good reason to love him. His shockwave slam is very strong and can damage enemies in all directions, his stampede ability gives him some much needed speed, and his photosynthesis cannon has a lot of range and fires at a rapid rate. If you haven't played as Tree Rex (first of all, how?), you are really missing out and you should as soon as you get the chance.
#3: Sunburn
Fun fact: Sunburn is the only skylander from the first game to never get a repose of any kind. No series reposes, no lightcores, he wasn't even included as a part of the Eon's Elite (despite there being room for a second fire skylander). That's one of the reasons why I love him so much, but it's not the main reason. The main reason is his very fun and powerful moveset. His flamethrower breath and immolation teleportation abilities do a lot of damage while his phoenix dash does damage while speeding him up. Sunburn is another skylander that I highly recommend playing as, but make sure to fully upgrade him first (that goes for all of the skylanders, by the way).
#2: Pain-Yatta
My feelings for Pain-Yatta's Trap Team counterpart have been all over the place, but I have always been a huge fan of his Imaginators counterpart. His lollipop slam is very powerful, his candy barf stuns enemies, and his piñatas do pretty good damage. Even his special abilities like his different candy weapons and his candy laser are welcomed additions to his overall great moveset. Not only does his Sky-Chi make him an actually piñata, but the range and power that it has is almost sickening. Pain-Yatta is a pretty rare skylander nowadays, but if you can find him for a reasonable price, then do not hesitate and buy him.
#1: Wildfire
Wildfire wasn't always my favorite skylander, but I have a feeling that no one will ever replace him as my overall favorite. His shield bash is insanely powerful and can hit multiple enemies, his fire claws pull enemies closer while stunning them doing decent damage, and his fire roar has a ton of power and range. His lion form gives him two more super powerful attacks as well as more speed, even if it can be tricky to pull off at first. Honestly, there isn't a skylander that recommend more than Wildfire. He is easily my favorite skylander and he probably won't be replaced any time soon.
when will your next post be? i really like them!
ReplyDeleteI'm not entirely sure. Depends on what I can think of for future posts.
Deleteare you open to suggestions?
DeleteWouldn't hurt. Shoot.
DeleteSo my suggestion is to rank every boss fight in the entire series. In Trap Team, only the Doom Raiders and Kaos count as bosses and in Imaginators the Doomlanders count as one, since they're pretty much all the same. My second suggestion is to maybe, like you did with the villains, give a score on a game.
