Top 10 Best Trappable Villains

The main gimmick of Trap Team was the ability to capture bosses and mini-bosses and playas them as if they were actual skylanders. Like I said in my ranking of the normal villains, the quality of these guys varies from fantastic to pretty bad. This list is meant to highlight the villains that I consider to be the best. I know that these kinds of lists are incredibly different, but this is personally how I'd rank these ten villains. Anyways, let's get into this list and rank some reformed villains.

#10: Chef Pepper Jack

There are only nine villains that I consider to be perfect, so for #10, I had two different options: Chompy or Chef Pepper Jack. While it was a bit of a tough decision, I decided to go with the chef because I feel like his moveset is more enjoyable. His pepper bombs are great for area damage while his egg beater charge attack and fire breath do a lot of damage in front of you. Sure, those two attacks can be stopped by enemy attacks, but they are very easy to start again. Overall, Chef Pepper Jack is a very enjoyable villain and a great example f why the fire element is my favorite.

#9: Shrednaught

Imagine piloting a giant chainsaw tank. That's what you get with Shrednaught. The giant chainsaw alone is powerful, but I can definitely appreciate how it does damage before you rev it up. The homing laser attack is also good for taking out enemies in groups. Shrednaught is a fan favorite, and after playing as him, it's not hard to see why.

#8: Golden Queen

Even though I've recently gained a better appreciation for the Imaginators version of Golden Queen, I have always had a soft spot for the Trap Team version. Her moveset isn't the most powerful, but it is very useful. Her staff strike and golden wings do good damage and can defeat enemies relatively quickly, but her golden rays are very useful for freezing enemies. I am glad that I eventually grew a liking for Imaginators Golden Queen, but nothing beats her Trap Team counterpart.

#7: Dr. Krankcase

The same thing could be said about Dr. Krankcase. While his Imaginators counterpart isn't the best, his Trap Team counterpart is a lot of fun. His spin attack is a pretty powerful attack, but where he truly shines is with his goo shots and lightning hand. Both moves do a lot of damage, especially the lightning hand that stuns enemies as well as damaging them. The tech element has multiple characters that I consider to be perfect and Dr. Krankcase (from Trap Team of course) is one of them.

#6: Eye Five

Having a pound ability isn't really anything special, but what Eye Five does have to set him apart from the other pounding skylanders is that he can actually enhance his pounding ability. Said pounding ability is powerful enough on it's own, but his charge ability knocks enemies back and gives his pound ability more speed and power. The light element did do better than the dark element, but as great as Eye Five is, I don't think he's as good as the best dark villain.

#5: Pain-Yatta

Before giving him another chance, I wasn't sure about what my opinion on this version of Pain-Yatta. After giving him another chance, I can safely say that he's one of the best villains in the game. His lollipop slam does a lot of damage on it's own while the candy barf stuns enemies, but the piñatas that come from the candy barf do a lot of damage when hit with the lollipop slam. Just like his Imaginators counterpart, Pain-Yatta is a powerhouse, and that's exactly why he's this high up.

#4: Brawl & Chain

I will fully admit to being biased when it comes to Braw & Chain because I do have lots of pleasant memories of him, but at the same time, I'm sure that he still would've gotten a 5/5 because his moveset is so good. His hook spin attack is super powerful and can defeat groups of enemies at once while his reel in ability pulls enemies into destroying range while doing good damage. Maybe I am biased, but Brawl & Chain is definitely one of my favorite villains.

#3: Kaos

For the main villain of the series, you would expect Kaos to be insanely powerful, and he is. Most of his elemental attack to loads of damage, with the exception of his magic attack that refills his time gauge. His doom shark do really good damage and both of his giant floating head's attacks are very powerful. Considering what Kaos' role is in the series, his high power level is very unsurprising.

#2: Tae Kwon Crow

Honestly, the dark element didn't do too well in terms of villains. None of them were bad, but 75% of them weren't anything special. As for the other 25%, Tae Kwon Crow is possibly the best thing to happen to the dark element. His triple katana slash is the most powerful move in the entire game as it does over 900 damage in a single combo, while his throwing stars have some good range and do good damage. As much as I love Starcast and Blackout, Tae Kwon Crow is by far the best playable dark character that I've played as.

#1: Wolfgang

If this list was the Top 10 Most Popular Trappable Villains, Wolfgang would still be on the list, but probably not at #1. As for his moveset, it has everything. His harp strike is a powerful close range move, his knee slide is a nice speed ability, and his music notes have a lot of power and range. I've always been a big fan of both versions of Wolfgang, but if I had to pick between the two versions, I'm picking the Trap Team without a doubt.
