Update: 2020 Q4
Now that I'm not working on multiple lists at once, it's time to talk about my plans for the rest of this year.
I am currently working on my first top 10 list: my Top 10 Skylanders To Bring To A Halloween Party (title is subject to change). I plan on releasing this list on October 30th (one day before Halloween) because the next day, I will start doing something that I've always want to do, but I could never figure out how I wanted to do it; I found a way. Ladies and gentleman, on October 31st, 2020, I will continue my reviews by review the trappable villains from Trap Team. Here's how that will work:Just so we're all on the same page, in Trap Team, there are two types of trappable villains: the Doom Raiders, which are treated more like bosses (Golden Queen, Dr. Krankcase, Wolfgang, etc.), and normal villains, which are treated more like mini-bosses (Grave Clobber, Hood Sickle, Pain-Yatta, etc.). Once you defeat a boss or mini-boss, you can capture them in a trap of their respective element. The traps look like this:
The format of the reviews will be mostly the same: the name of the villain will be listed, but instead of what upgrade path that they're on (since they don't have those), I will state what the reward money is in gold (the main currency in Skylands). For the trial period, I will have Drobot accompany each villain as unlike the actual skylanders, the villains have a time limit and can't be out forever. I will still be playing on Operation: Troll Rocket Steal and doing the same things that I did as the trap masters and Trap Team cores. Also, there are things in Trap Team known as villain quests (where captured villains have a chance to redeem themselves by helping the residents of Skylands) and the main reward for these quests is that the villains get evolved, which results in more power and more time. I don't know how to reset the traps, so I'll doing the trials while the villains are evolved. As for the rating system, it will be different depending on who's being reviewed. For the Doom Raiders, since they have a normal 3-move moveset, they will be reviewed as though they are actual skylanders. However, the normal villains only have two moves, so I made it so that each move is worth 2 stars. Here's how that will work:
If a move is flawless or has a very minor flaw: 2 stars (5/5 at best, 3/5 at worst).
If a move is good but has a more noticeable flaw: 1 star (4/5 at best, 2/5 at worst).
If a move has little to nothing that is good about it: no stars (3/5 at best, 1/5 at worst).
Other than these new reviews, I do have things planned for December, but I'll save that for when we get to that time. As always, thank you all for reading (if there are more than just two people reading this) and I hope that this gets you excited for new releases on this blog.
Looking forward to your new ranking list! 👍
