Game 6, Chapter 23: Ta-da!
Skylander: Crash Bandicoot
Upgrade path: Crates a PlentyLike I said in my Cortex review, neither of the guest star senseis were received well. For Cortex, it was because of the fact that he was a sorcerer sensei despite using a gun, but for Crash, it was because he's super weak. I personally think that Crash Bandicoot is a good skylander, but there's one element that keeps him from being great. His cyclone spin is powerful enough to take enemies down quickly while his super slide is good for moving quicker and knocking enemies back with its upperkick. This game also gives him the ability to throw explosive crates that do lots of damage and allow him to do damage while staying away from enemies. His Sky-Chi sees him using his yo-yo to pull enemies in and them spinning to take them out. It is powerful and it can attack multiple enemies at once, but it is better when it's used on a group of enemies. As you can probably tell, his moveset is perfect, but there's one thing that holds him back. There's no avoiding it, so let's talk about his health. I knew going in that I had to try to not get hit because his health is pathetic; at level 20, his health is 450. I understand why his health is so low (it's not like he had much health in the original games) and it's nice that they gave him extra lives, but it doesn't mask the fact that his health is the lowest of any skylander. Thankfully, he has an amazing moveset, so while Crash Bandicoot is the most fragile skylander, I can at least give him a 4/5.
