Game 1, Chapter 2: Twists of Fury!

    I'll be honest and admit that before this review, I wasn't the biggest fan of Whirlwind. However, I can now say that my opinion has definitely changed for the better. Her first move - where she lobs rainbow bombs - is great for long range and can even hit enemies on higher ledges. Her second move - where she throws out a miniature storm cloud - is great for clearing hoards of smaller enemies and can even be effective against normal-sized enemies. I wasn't a huge fan of her flying move at first, but it speeds her up quite a bit and I felt like I flew through the level (get it?). If I did have one small complaint, it would be that her accuracy isn't really the best since her attacks do require some careful aiming. Regardless, even though she's not perfect, I think that she's still great enough to warrant a 5/5. Congratulations, Whirlwind! You're no longer my least favorite skylander from the first game.

      After Swap Force washed out the bad taste left by Giants, Trap Team came in to wash it out even further. Overall, the game was highly praised with IGN calling it the best in the series and many users on the r/skylanders subreddit calling it their favorite. As for me, I absolutely love it, but it's only my second favorite game in the series (we'll get to my favorite soon enough). Part of my love for this game comes from the trap masters and how enjoyable the majority of them are.
